Regarding the job Position
Job Description:
Execute a variety of tasks related to manufacturing, installation, upkeep, repair, and maintenance of mechanical machinery, instruments, and infrastructure utilized in the facility.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the shift technicians to identify faulty equipment/machinery in the facility and conduct repairs promptly.
• Enforce standard operating procedures for maintenance.
• Carry out necessary maintenance on all designated equipment/machinery in a timely manner.
• Aid in ensuring compliance with safety protocols and the use of personal protective gear during repairs or scheduled maintenance.
• Conduct weekly audits of operational tools to verify alignment with the original tool inventory provided.
• Complete work order repairs, inspections, and adjustments.
• Replace minor components in the facility's machinery.
• Engage in wellness, safety, and environmental initiatives within the facility.
• Input data into the ERP system (e. g. , SAP) for spare parts and consumables.
• Technicians are responsible for personally cleaning operational equipment to maintain optimal performance.
• Technicians must maintain tools and equipment properly.
• Guarantee top-notch maintenance in accordance with the preventive maintenance schedule.
• Report any breakdowns or stoppages exceeding 30 minutes to section engineers.
• Perform brief breakdown job analyses.
• Ensure no breakdown occurs in sections undergoing maintenance until the next preventive maintenance schedule.
• Address any breakdowns promptly.
• Complete and file daily checklists for executed tasks.
• Ensure removal of all scrap materials post-maintenance.
• Identify potential environmental and occupational health and safety hazards.
Education and Work Experience:
• Certified Trade Test I in a mechanical-related field with 16 years of relevant experience.
• Certified Trade Test II in a mechanical-related field with 24 years of relevant experience.
• OND in Mechanical Engineering with 5 years of relevant work experience.
Skills and Competencies:
• Foundational understanding of the cement production process.
• Comprehensive knowledge of cement packing machinery, functions, and operations.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing equipment accurately and efficiently.
• Problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail.
• Strong relationship management skills.
