Job position summary

Eko Island Pharmacy is seeking a proficient truck operator to support logistics operations effectively and punctually.

Driver's responsibilities are as follows:

- convey finished products and raw materials via road to and from production facilities or retail and distribution hubs

- examine vehicles for mechanical deficiencies and safety concerns and conduct preventative maintenance

- strategize routes and adhere to delivery timetables

- record and monitor work/rest intervals and mileage covered while driving and retain fuel/toll vouchers

- input data into our computerized system for each phase of the delivery process

- adhere to truck driving laws and regulations (dimensions, weight limits, route designations, parking, and rest periods) as well as company protocols and procedures

- position trucks at loading or unloading sites

- acquire and confirm delivery instructions

- report any malfunctions, incidents, or infractions

What qualifications and competencies are required?

- demonstrated hands-on experience as a truck operator of a minimum of 7. 5t vehicle

- practical familiarity with electronic devices and software (gps, avl systems, cb radios, etc. )

- capacity to drive for extended periods and travel regularly out of state when necessary

- comprehensive understanding of relevant truck driving statutes and directives

- no recent moving or traffic infractions

- flexibility and preparedness to manage unforeseeable circumstances (e. g. , traffic congestion, inclement weather)

- willing to undergo background checks and drug screening, as well as furnish employment references
